We educate about climate issues and hope to inspire progress toward a sustainable future that protects the climate of our alpine environment, our snow dependent economy and the quality of life for humans and wildlife in the Eastern Sierra.
We are also a chapter of 350.org, an international group dedicated to preserving a livable planet by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to restore atmospheric CO2 levels to 350 parts per million by advocating for positive change.
We only have one planet, help us take care of it!
Our climate action group started in the Mono Basin in September, 2015. A few friends concerned about our changing climate got together and organized the first meeting. Our original small group of 8 has grown to a current email list of 70 members from throughout the Eastern Sierra of California. We are committed to bringing about positive change through education, awareness and community action.
